On 10th October Made in the Midlands member's FARO held their Best Practice event to educate other members on 3D measurement technologies, Best Practices and to do some networking.

Based in Warwickshire, FARO is one of the world's most trusted source for 3D measurement technology and marketing computer-aided measurement, imaging devices and software. Made in the Midlands members began arriving at FARO at around 9am, where they were welcomed at reception and then guided to the training room. Greeted by breakfast and refreshments, members began networking and looking around training devices used by FARO.

Around 30 members of the Made in Group arrived at the event to learn more about the company, network and discover Best Practices. After the presentation,  members were taken on a guided tour around FARO's facilities with FARO Account Manager Paul Colgate. Guests were welcomed to  the various testing rooms which included: the Laser Scanner Calibration , Cold Room for collaborating arms to sensors, Ambient Calibration room which is used for remapping and Tracer Laser Projector Calibration.

Faro UK Manager Lee Cook said the aim of the best practice event was to show members around their newest technologies and what they can offer for their inspection needs. Lee said:

"Everyone seems to have enjoyed the day, and seemed very interested in the technology. I look forward to what we may be able to offer them in the future in terms of processes".
